“Reflection requires looking back so that the view looking forward is even clearer.”  As we look to the end of 2023, and prepare for a successful 2024, let’s take time to be intentional in how we reflect and set goals as we end one year and begin the next.
The Performance Excellence Network — in partnership with the Wisconsin Center for Performance Excellence — is pleased to host an online webinar discussion on Thursday, Dec 14: “Planning, Learning, Improving: The Value of After Action Reviews.”  The discussion will be facilitated by Dr. JoAnn Sternke, owner of Leader Excellence LLC and former Superintendent of Pewaukee Schools, winner of the 2013 Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award.
In this discussion, we will become familiar with conducting an “After Action Review.”  This process and tool can be used individually, but it’s also a foundation for debriefing with your team.  JoAnn will explore the power it brings to the “S” of PDSA (Plan-Do-Study-Act).  As JoAnn will illustrate, the Baldrige Framework asks leaders to be intentional in how we create an environment for success and focus on action.  Using an After Action Review process, you’ll be more effective in how you learn from the past and focus yourself and your team moving forward and harnessing change.
This session is Thursday, Dec 14 from 8:00-9:00 CT (optional networking and mingling 7:45-8:00) using Zoom MEETING. Grab your coffee and breakfast, and join us for a rich discussion. Free for PEN/WCPE members; $20 for non-members.

Can’t make it live but interested in the content? Register anyway: all registered attendees get a link to the recording after the session!
