Working Materials: LeanTransformationEvaluationServicesPrint
Lean in a service industry? Karyn Ross of Industry week believes that Lean may have even more value in a service based organization than in even manufacturing. “It is precisely because service processes do tend to have long cycle times (think quarterly payroll tax processes), many complex variables, multiple decision points and interactions with a variety of computer systems (think putting someone on a short-term disability leave of absence) and much of the value-added work does often take place out of sight, in peoples’ minds (think call center reps answering complicated HR-related questions) that makes lean philosophy and tools a great fit—and can be of huge benefit—for services industries.”
The Performance Excellence Network, Twin Cities Region, is pleased to welcome Chris Vogel, former SVP of Wells Fargo, CEO of Compass Affiliates and faculty member of the Lean Enterprise Institute on December 10th as he shares his experience supporting over 20 years of transformational leadership. During his time as a SVP at Wells Fargo, he created a highly integrated Leadership, Management System and Continuous Improvement culture based on Lean principles and methods which has now been shared with many industries and in many countries. Chris will share a proven transformational model to help an organization kick-off or strengthen a Lean transformation.
Join Chris at St. Paul College on Wednesday, December 12th. Networking is from 7:30 to 8:00am with Chris facilitating from 8:00 to 9:00am. No cost for members; $30.00 for non-members. To register, contact Brian Lassiter at [email protected].
