There are many ways to improve organizational results.  Some methods — such as Six Sigma and Baldrige — are comprehensive and rigorous.  Some — such as Lean and PDSA — are simpler but also very effective.  Each framework and method has its specific, unique intent.  So what method(s) are right for your organization?  How do you choose?
The Performance Excellence Network is pleased to welcome several improvement leaders to a panel discussion at our Oct 22 Mankato Area PEN breakfast discussion: “Understanding Continuous Improvement Options.”  Note this is the fourth Tuesday of the month not the third, due to MEA week.

Each speaker will have some time to describe his/her organization’s improvement system, sharing insights on the value and use of frameworks and tools such as Baldrige, Lean, Six Sigma, ISO, PDSA, and others.  Confirmed speakers include Compeer and River’s Edge (others to be added).  We will then have a panel and group discussion, exploring the strengths and limitations of each, how to select which are appropriate for your organization, and how to get started.  If you’re looking for insights to jump start (or accelerate) your organization’s continuous improvement efforts, come share and learn what’s working at other area organizations!

The discussion will be hosted by South Central College in North Mankato.  Continental breakfast will be served from 7:30 to 8:00 with the discussion from 8:00 to 9:00 am. For a limited time, Mankato Area PEN breakfasts are offered at NO COST for both members and non-members!!  So come try out the forum – learn practices that can improve your organization’s performance and network with local leaders and professionals who are passionate about excellence!
