The analytics movement has captured the attention and imagination of leaders everywhere with the promise of improved performance through the clever use of data. Big Data is now even mentioned in the Baldrige Criteria. However, deciding what to do is difficult for leaders because of buzzwords, vague definitions, and mysterious techniques. The Performance Excellence Network welcomes Charles Liedtke as he discusses, “Trends in Analytics for Performance Excellence” and begins to demystify the current trends in big data usage. Join Dr. Liedtke on Thursday, February 5th at Minneapolis Community and Technical College in room L3000.  Networking is from 7:30 to 8:00 with the presentation from 8:00 to 9:00. Seating is limited so to register, please contact Brian Lassister at [email protected].
During this session participants will first see the results of a survey on the major trends of data analysis in the U.S. and then learn practical analytical frameworks and techniques that will help them think about how analytics and—Big Data in particular—can be used to improve their organizations.
