These items are the “framework” necessary for any business to have in place for continued successes. They come from the Baldrige Criteria for Performance Excellence – the “Gold Standard” for validated management practices both nationally and internationally. http://www.nist.gov/baldrige/

The morning session will provide you and your leadership team an overview of the Baldrige Program. The discussion will include how the Baldrige framework can benefit your organization (or division, department). You’ll learn how businesses (like Cargill, Seagate, Eaton, Boeing), healthcare organizations (like Avera Sacred Heart of Yankton, Mayo Clinic), many K-12 school districts and higher education institutions across the US, non-profits and and governmental agencies (SDDOT, Army Corps of Engineers, VA Systems) are using the framework to improve performance and outcomes.

The afternoon session will take a closer look at each category of the Baldrige Criteria and how improvement in each can benefit your organization. You will have the opportunity to learn some high-level Baldrige-based tools that can be brought back into your organization.

These sessions will be facilitated by Michael Garner with Cardinal, a small business based in Rochester, MN (a Performance Excellence Award winner), Dr. Mark Blazey from New York (a national Baldrige expert), and Brian Lassiter, President of the Performance Excellence Network. All very experienced with successful applications of the Baldrige Criteria.
