The need to improve your organization’s performance has perhaps never been greater: customers expect more, competent workers are growing scarce, and competition is intensifying. But – with the complexity of organizations – where does one start? How do you know on which processes to focus? And how to do you sustain the improvement over time?
The Performance Excellence Network is pleased to announce a special — completely updated and improved — full-day workshop: The Principles of Performance Excellence: Baldrige 101, March 15 at Camp Rapid in Rapid City. The workshop is hosted in cooperation with the SD National Guard and the SD DOT, and will be facilitated by Michael Garner (of Rochester, MN-based Momentum Consulting and Olmsted County) and Brian Lassiter (president of the Performance Excellence Network)
The Baldrige Framework provides a systems perspective for continuous improvement and advancing performance excellence. The Baldrige “Criteria for Performance Excellence” reflects the leading edge of validated management practice, against which any organization can measure itself to identify and prioritize improvement opportunities. The Framework is changed every two years to reflect best practices that drive results.
In the workshop, attendees will learn how the Framework serves as a diagnostic system to identify and prioritize improvement opportunities, optimize resources, align and accelerate improvement initiatives, and improve and sustain results. Baldrige is more about facilitating improvement that receiving trophies. Workshop based on the new 2017 Baldrige Criteria!
Cost for the full day is $325 for members ($650 for non-members). Discounts available for teams of 3-4 from the same organization registering at the same time ($300) as well as teams of 5+ ($275). We will work with organizations new to PEN to reduce cost and make it affordable to attend — email brian.lassiter [at] performanceexcellencenetwork.org to explore those possibilities. One copy of the 2017-18 Baldrige “Criteria for Performance Excellence” book ($30 value) is included, as are meals.
