The way organizations approach strategic issues greatly determines their level of success or failure. Senior leaders are looking for meaningful results. Process owners and project leaders are challenged to initiate and prioritize new projects on a daily basis. What is needed is organizational alignment around the vital few projects that will deliver results that matter. You need to create Meaningful Impact.
The Performance Excellence Network is pleased to announce a special one-day workshop “The Metric of Urgency: Using Key Metrics to Link Strategic Needs to Operational Execution” on Tuesday, March 14 at Normandale Community College in Bloomington.  The workshop will be facilitated by Edwin Boon and Mike Gratz of the Rendement Group and will feature a method called “Systematic Problem Solving.”

Systematic Problem Solving®

Systematic Problem Solving® or SPS (based on the principles of Lean Six Sigma) moves organizations from the widely accepted but ad hoc practice of executing too many projects and achieving low impact into a systematic process of executing on the vital few projects that will deliver breakthrough change expressed in terms of process performance and financial results that clearly help the organization overcome any strategic challenge.

How does SPS do it?

SPS links strategic needs to operational execution via key metrics with the purpose of delivering meaningful impact. SPS can be integrated into any performance excellence framework.

Metric of Urgency®

The key to SPS is to identify a key leading process indicator called the Metric of Urgency® that can truly transform your organization by creating alignment between strategic challenges and the vital few projects that matter.

Join Edwin Boon and Mike Gratz and learn how to select the key metrics that deliver change that matters. Explore problem statements, leading and lagging metrics and how your organization can stay focused on the vital few projects.  This workshop will use simulation and facilitated exercises to allow participants to apply the tools taught as part of the day.

Cost is $325/person for PEN members ($650 for non-members).  Groups of three registering together pay $300/each and groups of five or more are $275/each.
