LifeSource, the region’s organ and tissue procurement organization, has been on a journey to excellence for many years.  Using the Baldrige Framework as their main management system and many other improvement tools, the nonprofit organization has seen significant improvements in outcomes and process performance.

The Performance Excellence Network is pleased to welcome Brenda Welsch, director of quality and regulatory affairs at LifeSource, to our March 1 Minneapolis PEN breakfast discussion: “The LifeSource Journey to Excellence.”

Brenda will share how LifeSource got started with its improvement efforts, what they’ve learned along the way, and how they plan to continue.  Brenda will also share techniques and tools that could be used in any type of organization (or departments or parts of organizations).

The discussion is Mar 1 at Minneapolis Community and Technical College, downtown Minneapolis, in room L3000 (details provided after registration). Continental breakfast will be served from 7:30 to 8:00 with the presentation from 8:00 to 9:00 am.  No cost for PEN members; $30 for non-member guests.

The discussion will also be made available to view through Facebook livestream (free for all PEN members) and/or video-on-demand ($20 members, $40 non-members; free for Premium/Sponsoring members).
