Today, it seems common knowledge that leaders are a keystone of a successful organization. And every organization has a leader…right? Wrong! Indeed, every organization has people in positions of authority, but only some organizations have true leaders — leaders with character and a moral compass that create an environment for ethical behavior throughout the organization. And today — perhaps more than ever — ethical leadership is critical to organizational success.
The Performance Excellence Network is pleased to welcome Nicole Zwieg Daly, Director at the Center for Ethics in Practice at the Opus College of Business, University of St. Thomas, to our February 6 Minneapolis PEN breakfast & livestream discussion: “The Ethics of Leadership.”
Nicole will dig deeper into the differences between these two socially-constructed terms of art as well as discuss the ethics of ensuring a leader is sitting in every position of authority in your organization.
The discussion is Feb 6 at Minneapolis Community and Technical College, downtown Minneapolis, downtown Minneapolis: T Building, 1415 Hennepin Ave. in Minneapolis (room T-1400); details provided in confirmation after registration. Continental breakfast will be served from 7:30 to 8:00 with the presentation from 8:00 to 9:00 am. No cost for PEN members; $30 for non-member guests.

Biography
Nicole Zwieg Daly is the Director at the Center for Ethics in Practice at the Opus College of Business. She earned her B.A. from the University of St. Thomas (UST) with a double-major in Business Management and Journalism-Public Relations. In 2004, she was among the first class to graduate from the St. Thomas School of Law and this year she earned her third degree from UST, a doctorate degree in Organization Development & Change.
Nicole has nearly 20 years of strategic management, business consulting, and organization development experience. She has held a variety of leadership and management roles including being the start-up CEO and sole proprietor of a sales and consulting firm where she worked with international manufacturers and retailers of all sizes: small firms and Fortune 500 companies alike. Before starting her own company, Nicole worked as Director of Operations for an international manufacturing company in Minnesota where she was responsible for the operations, legal, financial, and human resources departments of both domestic and international branches of the firm.
Nicole has presented at a number of national conferences and is a frequent speaker in the Twin Cities community educating groups on leadership, applied skills, and ethical business practices. She also pens a monthly Star Tribune column, The Outside Consultant. She retains her license to practice law in the State of Minnesota.
