COVID-19 has created a unique time in which leaders must dig deep and call upon their inner fortitude to lead and support those they serve.  While the challenges of the last 14 months may be subsiding in their intensity, organizations are still shifting, still evolving, still changing their strategies, processes, and models to emerge in a post-pandemic world.  In response, the newly-updated Baldrige Framework has an increased focus on defining and understanding the importance of resilience — an organization’s ability to 1) anticipate, prepare for, and recover from disasters, emergencies, and other disruptions, and 2) protect and enhance workforce and customer engagement, supply-network and financial performance, organizational productivity, and community well-being when disruptions occur.

The Performance Excellence Network — in partnership with the Wisconsin Center for Performance Excellence — is pleased to host an online webinar discussion on Thursday, May 27: “Strategies to Create a More Resilient Organization & Workforce.”  The discussion will be facilitated by Dr. JoAnn Sternke, Senior Director & Coach at Studer Education (former Superintendent of Pewaukee Public Schools, Wisconsin, winner of the 2013 Baldrige National Quality Award).

In this workshop, we will come to a clear understanding of the definition of resilience and learn:

  • A user-friendly definition of resilience — and why it is so important to understand its depth,
  • Keys to resilient leadership — and how your role modeling of resiliency enhances the resiliency in others, and
  • How resilient leaders execute strategy to lay the groundwork for recovery in their organizations by using a systems approach.

JoAnn will bring humor and her ability to motivate and make the complex simple. You will leave energized and with a simple playbook to take the next step to improve resilience in your organization — for today’s continued changes and for whatever lies ahead.

This session is Thursday, May 27 from 8:00-9:00 CT (optional speed networking and mingling 7:45-8:00), using Zoom MEETING.  Grab your coffee and breakfast, and join us for a rich discussion.  Free for PEN/WCPE members; $20 for non-members.
