The Minnesota Chapter of Project Management Institute (PMI), an alliance partner of the Performance Excellence Network, is pleased to announce its next breakfast session: “PR for the PM: What Project Teams Can Learn from Marathon Coaching.” The session will be held Apr 9, and will be facilitated by Samir Penkar, a SCRUM Master.
Ever wonder how trainers coach marathon runners to run a distance of 26.2 miles at faster paces? Chock full of incredible techniques and practical advice, this session will motivate you to expand your thinking on coaching teams for optimal performance, whether on the path or in the office.
You will walk (or run) away with a fresh understanding of how you can inspire and uplift your project teams. As a running coach and SCRUM Master, Samir shares his insights into how you can affect small changes, inspire the right behavior and build trust among your team. You’ll learn how marathon coaches build endurance, stamina, strength and speed and how you can adopt these techniques for your project teams.
The session is Apr 9 from 7:00-8:50 AM at Crowne Plaza West, 3131 Campus Drive, Plymouth. Cost is $34 ($32.30 for Network members) before Mar 26 (PEN members should contact [email protected] for discount code).
