Strategy is the essence of why you’re in business: its specifics and refinements are about maximizing your opportunities.  Those refinements require a deep understanding of the cross-section between who your organization is, market demand, demand trends, and how to be distinctive.  Sound easy enough?  Then why do a significant amount of executives express doubt or disappointment with the strategies outlined or the results it drives?

The Performance Excellence Network is pleased to welcome Dean Jarnow of Jarnow Strategic Partners to our January 7 Minneapolis breakfast discussion: “Optimizing Organizational Strategy.”

Dean brings over 25 years of operational, product development, and strategic development experience both as a consultant and as a senior leader.  His hands-on experience spans across companies as varied as private equity start-ups to Fortune 50 and Global 100 companies, most recently with Portico Benefits Services, a long-term PEN member.  With his direct and analytical style, Dean will challenge you to examine both the process and the meaningfulness of common strategy practices and the traps that hinder success.  Dean will walk you through his “O2S” methodology, a holistic strategy formation process of linking strategy, execution, and outcome monitoring.  The O2S process is consistent with the Baldrige Excellence framework, in that it fosters aligned results from an external, internal, and future perspective and facilitates continuous learning and innovation.

The discussion is January 7 at Minneapolis Community and Technical College, downtown Minneapolis, in room L3000 (details provided after registration).  Continental breakfast will be served from 7:30 to 8:00 with the presentation from 8:00 to 9:00 am.
