The Performance Excellence Network is pleased to welcome Jeff Borling, director of Industrial/Economic Development with the Duluth Port Authority, to our May 20 discussion “Not Your Grandfather’s Port Authority.”

Jeff will explore how the Port Authority is positioning 50’s-era infrastructure to support tomorrow’s global economy.  Specifically, he will focus on the Port Authority’s two primary operational areas: cargo handling and economic development, providing examples of how the Port Authority is working to maximize sustainable revenue to reinvest in modernizing its public infrastructure and to return dormant industrial sites to higher performance for the local economy.

The discussion is May 20 at the Duluth Seaway Port Authority (details provided upon registration).  Networking and breakfast is from 7:00 to 7:30, and the discussion is from 7:30 to 8:30.  No cost for members; $20 for non-members.
