The Minnesota Chapter of Project Management Institute (PMI), an alliance partner of the Performance Excellence Network, is pleased to announce its next breakfast session: “Going Agile — Ouch!”. The session will be held March 11, and will be facilitated by Steve Harper, a PM with 20+ years IT experience.
Many organizations say they are “running Agile projects” – but then go on to complain that they “aren’t seeing the benefits.”
Why is this? In many cases, these organizations are using “Agile Methodology” but have not yet developed an “Agile Culture.” Agile is much more than just a set of development and deployment practices. It often involves fundamentally different ways of thinking and operating. That is why many Agilists talk about Agile Transformation rather than simply Agile Adoption.
This interactive presentation explores these new ways of thinking and operating through the lens of the PACT© model, in which Participation, Accountability, Communication and Transparency form a bedrock of organizational trust.
Each of these four elements has a profound impact on an organization. If ignored, they can derail the best efforts to implement Agile – and if properly cultivated, they can provide a roadmap to successful Agile transformation within your organization.
The session is Mar 11 from 7:00-8:50 AM in Bloomington. Cost is $34 ($32.30 for Network members) (PEN members should contact [email protected] for discount code). For more information, visit http://www.pmi-mn.org/.
