Fast Track to a Lean Transformation at HealthEast
Join our partner, for their next program “Fast Track to a Lean Transformation at HealthEast.” This program is in partnership with AME and IIE.
HealthEast, under new leadership of Kathryn Correia, is committed to Lean and achieving optimal health and well-being for our patients, our communities, and our employees.
Through the application of the Frontline Management System HealthEast employees have generated over 4,000 ideas for improvement within 3 months, and the program gives each and every one of our 7,000 employees a voice for making patient care better. This presentation will describe what HealthEast has done over the course of 6 months to become a Lean organization; including successes, challenges, and featured improvements made by frontline staff.
Improving a Child’s Quality of Life Through Innovative Design of Medical Products to Fulfill their unique Customer Needs
Also featured will be Brad Slaker, who will discuss his company, DesignWise Medical, a non-profit organization that develops medical products and devices for the unique and unmet health care needs of children. Many health care products for children are never developed by traditional medical device companies due to a lack of financial return on investment. DesignWise Medical has created a new business model for developing these small-market medical device products that are so critically needed by our children. Brad will discuss the DesignWise collaboration model of volunteers and partners and how their unique development process works.
Cost is $25 for ASQ members ($35 for non-members), and the discussion is 5-8PM. For more information or to register, visit http://www.mnasq.org/.
