Announcing second workshop due to incredible demand!

They are often referred to as narcissists, bullies, and clever chameleons who knock down, but kiss up.  They shame, manipulate, and belittle others in public and private as their modus operandi.  We feel the angst they cause but are often unaware of how prevalent they are or how much they cost — in terms of individual well being, team performance, and your bottom line!  Until now.

The Performance Excellence Network is pleased to announce a second special full-day workshop Dec 11: “Erode Toxic Behaviors: Best Practices to Improve Workplace Civility & Performance” (the same workshop is also available Dec 10 in Bloomington; click here for information).  The workshop will be facilitated by Dr. Mitch Kusy, Organizational Psychologist, Professor, Fulbright Scholar.  The event will be hosted by Metropolitan State University in St. Paul and runs 8:30-4:00.

In this workshop Dr. Kusy shares his extensive 3-year national study with over 400 individuals on toxic personalities.  A whopping 94% of us deal with them daily — and anywhere from 12% to 31% of your good employees quit as a result.  The #1 unsuccessful strategy leaders use to deal with them?  Give them feedback, which fails more often than it succeeds.  So, how do we handle these Dr. Jekylls and Mr. Hydes?

First, you need to understand the system that gives them their power.  Second, you engage a menu of individual, team, and organizational strategies that are evidence-based and that work!  Mitch will share several approaches and tools that help to reduce workplace conflict, improve civility, and enhance performance.  To get a feel for the content and interactive style of this workshop, please see Mitch’s latest TV appearance on a San Francisco news show — click here!

Everyone who registers for this workshop will receive a complimentary, signed copy of Dr. Mitch Kusy’s latest book, Why I Don’t Work Here Anymore: A Leader’s Guide to Offset the Financial and Emotional Costs of Toxic Employees ($30 value).

Cost is $325/person for members ($650 non-members).  Teams of 3-4 people from the same member organization registering at the same time $300; teams of 5+ are $275/each.

No one is immune to the damage they cause but you can now intervene with success with top strategies to avoid ever bringing them into your organization and what to do once they are there. And get a good night’s sleep once and for all!
