The end of the year turns many business leaders to planning for the next one.  What opportunities are available to you, and what threats loom on the horizon?

The Performance Excellence Network is pleased to welcome Professor King Banaian, Dean of the School of Business at St. Cloud State University, to our November 2 PEN breakfast: “Economic Headwinds or Tailwinds: The Importance of Strategic Planning.”

In his talk, Dean Banaian will discuss the results of surveys he has collect from local business leaders in central Minnesota every quarter since 1998, sharing emerging trends  and exploring how Minnesota organizations should respond.  Dean Banaian is seeing that national and local trends are diverging, and that local business leaders seem resilient to the external environment.  But few are the times local economies escape national recessions, and the United States is in its eighth year since the last recession.  What should you know as you prepare your strategic plans for 2018 and beyond?

The discussion is Nov 2 Minneapolis Community and Technical College, downtown Minneapolis, in room L3000 (details provided after registration). Continental breakfast will be served from 7:30 to 8:00 with the presentation from 8:00 to 9:00 am. To register, contact Brian Lassiter at [email protected].

Livestreaming and video-on-demand are now also available ($20 member, $40 non-member; free for Premium/Sponsoring Members). Please contact [email protected] for more information and for the link to register for livestream or on demand.
