Developing and Using Meaningful Performance Measures at Be The Match
National Marrow Donor Program/Be the Match launched its award-winning version of Balanced Scorecard in 2007.  Since then, Vision into Action has evolved as a strategic management system that aligns day-to-day work with strategic objectives and measures that drive progress towards fulfilling the organization’s life-saving mission. Strategic objectives and measures are cascaded from the corporate level, to department levels, and ultimately to individual employees. All employees have online access to quarterly measures and results. This session will lend focus on the role of measures within a strategic management system, including: determination of what needs to be measured; what types of measures to develop; how measures are reviewed and acted on to close performance gaps, and lessons learned along the way.
