We are hard-wired for connection.  Whether in a physical space, across state lines or shared across the screen, humans crave a connectedness to each other, the work we do, and the people we get to serve and lead.  But now we are 10 months in to a very different workplace than any of us would’ve ever imagined, some of us asked to lead a virtual or hybrid workforce, and all of us searching for ways to stay connected, maintain effective communication and morale in challenging circumstances.  As leaders and professionals, you don’t need to do this alone.
The Performance Excellence Network is pleased to host an online webinar discussion on Thursday, January 21: “Creating an Intentionally Connected Virtual Workplace.”  The discussion will feature Tammy Krings, CEO of The Conversations That Matter.

In this discussion, Tammy will guide us in how to be more intentional in creating a work environment that maintains (or enhances) connection with team members, that drives engagement, builds alignment and equips you with questions that can result in hearing and seeing each other in new ways. While people are “settled in” to their new workspace, they are also craving something different and many of us are asking ourselves: “what can I be doing better to lead my people?”.

In this session, you will:

  • Hear the latest research on what leaders are doing to drive stronger connection, including in virtual/hybrid work environments
  • Consider what is uniquely working for your team and how you can refine your approach to building a culture of connection
  • Receive a set of “Conversation Starter” questions to help you authentically and intentionally drive more connection in your one-on-ones, team meetings, and generally how you show up as a leader.

Now is the time to get creative and look well beyond your default mode.  How can you uniquely add your style to how you lead and influence in this virtual workplace?

This session will use Zoom MEETING (so that we can network, connect with each other).  We will also open the line 15 minutes early for informal “mingling” and speed networking, just like we’d have in a normal breakfast discussion format!  So come a few minutes early if you want to network.

The discussion will be a live Zoom Meeting Thursday, January 21 from 8:00-9:00 CT (optional speed networking 7:45-8:00).  Grab your coffee and breakfast, and join us for a rich discussion.  Free for PEN members; $20 for non-members.
