Trust is fragile—it is easily broken and can be extremely difficult to regain. Organizations with low levels of trust among employees experience more absenteeism, more turnover, and less productivity than their high trust peers. But organizations that experience high levels of trust report higher productivity, increased teamwork, higher shareholder return, and lower costs—among other benefits.
The Performance Excellence Network is pleased to welcome Dawn Johnson, senior analyst in Allete’s Learning and Organization Development team, to January 18 TPPEN breakfast discussion: “Building Trust in the Workplace.”
This session is based on the research and book, Trust and Betrayal in the Workplace by Dennis Reina, Ph.D. and Michelle Reina, Ph.D. Participants will learn about the role that trust plays in organizations, the types of trust that exist in the workplace, and ideas for rebuilding trust once it is broken.
The discussion is at Allete (details provided at registration). Networking is from 7:00 to 7:30 with the discussion from 7:30 to 8:30. No cost for members; $20 for non-members.
