Regardless of what you call it, an organization’s success depends on having an engaged workforce that benefits from meaningful work, clear organizational direction, the opportunity to learn and grow, and accountability for performance.  The workforce must also have a safe, trusting, inclusive, and cooperative environment – an inclusive culture that capitalizes on and supports the diverse backgrounds, characteristics, knowledge, skills, creativity, and motivation of its workforce, partners, and collaborators.

The Performance Excellence Network — in partnership with the Wisconsin Center for Performance Excellence and the Iowa Quality Center and in collaboration with the Greater Rochester Quality Council — is pleased to host an online webinar discussion on Thursday, May 1: “Best Practices in Building and Maintaining an Inclusive Culture.”  The discussion will feature a panel of leaders from different types of organizations:

* Dr. Sandra Ogunremi, Monument Health (Rapid City)
* Vernon Rowland, co-founder, Future North and Associate Principal, Turnberry Solutions
* Dr. Macarre Traynham, MN Dept of Education

The discussion will be moderated by Dr. Lanise Block of Sankore, who will first share her insights on the value of having an inclusive culture and how leaders can navigate today’s more challenging environment to build or maintain such a culture.  The panel will then explore methods, tools, and best practices that lead to inclusion, as well as what has worked (and what hasn’t) in improving organizational results.

Some organizations might still call it DEI while some are modifying the language to remove barriers and resistance.  But regardless of what it’s labeled, having a more inclusive culture leads to more engaged workers, better relationships with customers, and improved organizational outcomes.  Come explore how your team and organization can continue to build a better culture in today’s changing environment.

This session is Thursday, May 1 from 8:00-9:00 CT (optional speed networking and mingling 7:45-8:00), using Zoom MEETING.  Grab your coffee and breakfast, and join us for a rich discussion.  Free for PEN/WCPE/IQC members; $20 for non-members.

Can’t make it live but interested in the content? Register anyway: all registered attendees get a link to the recording after the session!
