As we move into 2025, organizations are again focused on increasing productivity and efficiency and reducing waste.  Unlock the secrets of Lean and see how it delivers measurable results in very different sectors – manufacturing and healthcare — insights that can translate to any other sector or industry.

The Performance Excellence Network — in partnership with the Wisconsin Center for Performance Excellence and the Iowa Quality Center and in cooperation with the Greater Rochester NY Quality Council — is pleased to host an online webinar discussion on Thursday, January 9: “Improving Productivity in 2025: (Re)Discover How Lean Drives Remarkable Results.”  The discussion will feature two Lean experts, Didier Rabino, President of Lean Management Systems (and formerly of Fairview), and John Collodora, Senior Advisor at Value Capture LLC (and formerly of Fairview and Andersen Windows).  They will first (re)introduce Lean principles and then dive into two real-world case studies to explore the concepts and value of Lean:

  • Medical Device Manufacturing
Presented by Didier, this case study reveals how a manufacturer doubled production capacity without additional resources by reducing waste, optimizing workflows, and standardizing work processes—achieving a 98% reduction in throughput time and an 88% boost in productivity.
  • Multi-Hospital System
Presented by John, this case study explores how a healthcare system improved patient flow and safety by reducing patient length of stay creating 19,000 additional bed days of capacity and generating over $36 million in financial benefits through multidisciplinary collaboration and systems thinking.

Whether you’re in manufacturing, healthcare, or another sector, this discussion will provide actionable insights to help you achieve performance excellence in 2025!

This session is Thursday, Jan 9 from 8:00-9:00 CT (optional networking and mingling 7:45-8:00) using Zoom MEETING. Grab your coffee and breakfast, and join us for a rich discussion. Free for PEN/WCPE members; $20 for non-members.

Can’t make it live but interested in the content? Register anyway: all registered attendees get a link to the recording after the session!
